Regular Season Round 18: Soles - Toros 86-83

The most exciting game of round 18 in the LNBP took place in Mexicali. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of second-best Toros (12-7) to third ranked Soles (11-7) 86-83 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Toros. The best player for the winners was American power forward Justin Keenan (202-88, college: Ferris St.) who had a double-double by scoring 32 points and 13 rebounds. The former international Roman Martinez (201-88, college: N.Mexico) chipped in 19 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Damion James (201-87, college: Texas) who recorded 23 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized American forward Quentin Gonzalez (200-84, college: McNeese St.) added 21 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Four Toros players scored in double figures. Soles have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 11-7 record having seven points less than leader Fuerza Regia. Newly promoted Toros keep the second place with seven games lost. Soles are again looking forward to face league's second-placed Toros in Nuevo Laredo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Toros will have a break next round.
