Regular Season Round 15: Gelisim - Pertevniyal 67-69

A very close game took place in Izmir between Pertevniyal and Gelisim. Fifteenth ranked Pertevniyal (5-10) got a very close victory on the road over 12th ranked Gelisim (5-10). Pertevniyal managed to escape with a 2-point win 69-67 in the fight for the twelfth place. It was a great evening for forward Nedim Yucel (203-79) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. Power forward Adem Oren (207-79) helped adding 18 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American point guard Adonte Parker (186-89, college: Dayton) with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Feyzi Celebioglu (192-88) scored 13 points and 7 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Pertevniyal moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with defeated Gelisim. Gelisim lost their fourth game in a row. Pertevniyal will meet at home higher ranked Samsun (#8) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Gelisim will play against Bursaspor (#7) and hope to secure a win.
