Regular Season Round 16: Rennes - GET Vosges 81-61

An interesting game took place in Rennes where higher ranked GET Vosges (9-7) was upset on the court of thirteenth ranked Union Rennes (8-8) 81-61 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of GET Vosges. The game without a history. Union Rennes led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Union Rennes dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to GET Vosges' 26. Union Rennes forced 19 GET Vosges turnovers. Union Rennes looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. GET Vosges was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian swingman Vukan Zivkovic (199-91) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and American swingman Daviin Davis (193-85, college: Weber St.) who added 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Union Rennes players scored in double figures. At the losing side swingman Steven Ricard (200-90) responded with 15 points and American center Kyle Tresnak (208-92, college: Weber St.) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Union Rennes moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser GET Vosges dropped to the sixth position with seven games lost. Union Rennes will face league's second-placed Quimper UJAP on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
