Regular Season Round 6: Rabotnicki - Pelister Bitola 90-53

The game between top-ranked Rabotnicki (6-0) and 6th ranked Pelister Bitola (2-4) in Skopje on Saturday ended with biggest points difference. Rabotnicki outscored guests from Bitola 90-53. The game without a history. Rabotnicki led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Pelister Bitola to just 7 points in first quarter. Rabotnicki dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Pelister Bitola's 18. They outrebounded Pelister Bitola 47-23 including a 36-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Rabotnicki looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Pelister Bitola's players. Canadian guard Nicholas Wiggins (198-91, college: Wichita St.) notched 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and the former international point guard Vlado Ilievski (188-80, agency: BeoBasket) supported him with 19 points and 5 assists (perfect from downtown making all five shots). Rabotnicki's coach Marin Dokuzovski felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 14 points and 9 rebounds by Serbian forward Milos Andrejevic (198-89) did not help to save the game for Pelister Bitola. Point guard Gjorgi Anakievski (185-85) added 15 points. Rabotnicki have an impressive six-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Feni Industries. Newly promoted Pelister Bitola dropped to the fifth place with four games lost. They share the position with Strumica. Rabotnicki will meet league's leader Feni Industries in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Pelister Bitola will play against Kozuv (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
