Regular Season Round 19: Soles - Toros 61-70

An interesting game for Toros (13-7) which played road game in Mexicali against 3rd placed Soles (11-8). Second ranked Toros managed to get a 9-point victory 70-61. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Soles. It was a great shooting night for Toros especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Damion James (201-87, college: Texas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import forward Sammy Yeager (193-89, college: CS Fullerton) contributed with 20 points for the winners. American power forward Justin Keenan (202-88, college: Ferris St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and the former international point guard Pedro Meza (186-85, college: Arizona W. CC, agency: Pro Sports) added 14 points and 4 assists in the effort for Soles. Newly promoted Toros maintains second place with 13-7 record having five points less than leader Fuerza Regia. Soles at the other side keep the third position with eight games lost. Toros are looking forward to face Barreteros (#6) in Zacatecas in the next round. Soles will play on the road against Santos in San Luis Potosi and are hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
