Regular Season Round 6: Vardar - Kumanovo 67-92

Bottom-ranked Vardar Apave is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their sixth consecutive match to third ranked Kumanovo (4-2) 92-67. The game was mostly controlled by Kumanovo. Vardar Apave was better in third quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kumanovo had a 28-15 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Serbian power forward Danilo Mijatovic (206-83, agency: 011 Sports) scored 27 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eleven shots !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and the former international guard Dimitar Karadzovski (190-84, agency: Global Sports Plaza) chipped in 15 points and 15 assists during the contest. Four Kumanovo players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Jetmir Zekjiri (200-96) with 15 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Daniel Kalov (204-89) scored 13 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kumanovo maintains third position with 4-2 record having just two points less than leader Feni Industries. Newly promoted Vardar Apave still closes the standings with six games lost. Kumanovo will play against Strumica (#6) in Strumica in the next round. Vardar Apave will play on the road against Ohrid AV and hopes to get finally their first victory.
