American guard Donald Sloan (190-88, college: Texas A&M) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. American swingman D.J. Kennedy (198-89, college: St.John's) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and Iranian forward Mohammad Samad Nikkhah Bahrami (199-83) added 21 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Guandong Tigers have an impressive series of fourteen victories in a row. They maintain second place with 16-3 record behind leader Shanghai S., which they share with Xinjiang FT. Guangzhou lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Guandong Tigers will face Shanxi Zhongyu (#7) in Taiyuan in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Guangzhou will play at home against Leopards (#4) and hope to win that game.
