Regular Season Round 22: Petrochema - Rasai 68-90

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Rasai (14-7) crushed 13th ranked Petrochema (5-16) in Jonava 90-68 on Sunday. The game without a history. Rasai led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Power forward Sarunas Beniusis (206-93) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Sarunas Vingelis (191-89) supported him with 21 points and 5 assists. Even 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists by swingman Mintautas Bulanovas (191-96) did not help to save the game for Petrochema. Point guard Justas Vazalis (197-96) added 12 points and 6 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Despite that victory Rasai went down to fourth position due to points difference. Petrochema lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 16 games lost. Rasai will meet league's leader Suduva-Mantinga in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Petrochema will play against Ezerunas-Karys (#14) in Moletai and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
