Important game to mention about took place in Sao Paolo. Seventh ranked Campo Mourao (6-5) saved a 2-point victory on the road edging 4th placed Pinheiros (6-5) 78-76 in the game for the sixth place. It was an exceptional evening for guard Caue Freitas (192-88) who led the winners and scored 21 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Wesley Henrique (197-94) accounted for 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. American guard Cordero Bennett (188-88) came up with 23 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and the other American import guard Desmond Holloway (191-90, college: Co.Carolina) added 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Pinheiros in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Pinheiros' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Campo Mourao moved-up to sixth place, which they share with defeated Pinheiros. Campo Mourao will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Pinheiros will play at home against Mogi (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
