Regular Season Round 8: Feni Industries - Kozuv 88-82

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Kavadarci. Second ranked Feni Industries faced 4th ranked Kozuv. Host Feni Industries (7-1) defeated guests from Gevgelija (4-4) 88-82. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Kozuv. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 88-82. Feni Industries looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Georgian center Giorgi Sharabidze (210-90, agency: Mansfield and Associates) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and Croatian guard Matija Ceskovic (192-81) who added 19 points and 4 assists during the contest. Serbian Milivoje Mijovic (200-91) responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and American point guard Kenyon McNeaill (185-91, college: Louisiana Tech) scored 20 points and 4 assists. Four Feni Industries and five Kozuv players scored in double figures. Kozuv's coach Vrbica Stefanov let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Feni Industries used an opportunity after Rabotnicki lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Loser Kozuv keeps the fourth place with four games lost. Feni Industries will meet MZT Skopje (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kozuv will play against Kumanovo (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
