Regular Season Round 22: Shenzhen L. - Shanxi BD 123-114

Not a big story in a game in Shenzhen where 9th ranked Shanxi Zhongyu (11-11) was defeated by sixth ranked Leopards (15-7) 123-114. Leopards players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American point guard Jeremy Pargo (188-86, college: Gonzaga) notched 32 points and 8 assists to lead the effort and the former international swingman Duo Meng (192-90) supported him with 33 points (!!!). Even a triple-double of 35 points (!!!), 13 rebounds and 16 assists (made all of his twelve free throws !!!) by American Jamaal Franklin (196-91, college: San Diego St.) did not help to save the game for Shanxi Zhongyu. His fellow American import center Henry Sims (208-90, college: Georgetown) added 18 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Four Leopards and five Shanxi Zhongyu players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Leopards maintains sixth position with 15-7 record. Shanxi Zhongyu lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 11 games lost. Leopards' next round opponent will be Jilin Tigers (#12) in Changchun where they are favorite. Shanxi Zhongyu will play on the road against TianJin Steel in Tianjin and hope to win that game.
