Regular Season Round 17: BK Pardubice - NH Ostrava 84-82

Eleventh-ranked NH Ostrava (4-13) made lots of trouble for second ranked BK Pardubice (14-3) on Wednesday. BK Pardubice managed to secure only two-point victory 84-82. However their fans expected much easier game. BK Pardubice outrebounded NH Ostrava 111-84 including a 43-31 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 26 long-distance shots on high 51.0 percentage. BK Pardubice looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was forward Joseph Wall (199-89, college: Seattle Pacific) who scored 20 points. Forward Dominez Burnett (196-92, college: Davenport) chipped in 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Deshawn Painter (205-90, college: ODU) produced a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Max Guercy (175-94, college: Rice) added 15 points and 9 assists respectively for the guests. Five NH Ostrava players scored in double figures. NH Ostrava's coach Dusan Medvecky rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. BK Pardubice have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 14-3 record having just two points less than leader CEZ Nymburk. NH Ostrava lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with 13 games lost. BK Pardubice are looking forward to face MMCITE Brno (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. NH Ostrava will play against BK Usti nad Labem and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
