Regular Season Round 23: Xinjiang FT - Zhejiang GB 135-109

Very predictable result when third ranked Xinjiang Flying Tigers (18-5) rolled over 15th ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (7-16) in Urumqi 135-109 on Friday. Xinjiang Flying Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American-Bulgarian point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis, agency: Stealth Sport) orchestrated the victory by scoring 32 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. American-Filipino power forward Andray Blatche (211-86) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Xinjiang Flying Tigers's coach Qiuping Liu felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American guard Lorenzo Brown (196-90, college: N.Carolina St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists and the other American import point guard Willie Warren (193-89, college: Oklahoma) added 27 points and 4 assists in the effort for Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank. Five Xinjiang Flying Tige and four Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank players scored in double figures. Xinjiang Flying Tige maintains third place with 18-5 record having just three points less than leader Shanghai S., which they share with Liaoning H. Loser Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank keeps the fifteenth position with 16 games lost. Xinjiang Flying Tige will face Jiangsu TX (#18) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank will play against Qingdao Eagles and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
