Regular Season Round 6: Astana Tigers - TTT Riga 46-99

The game between Top Four teams took place in Astana. Kazakhstan host Astana Tigers (2-4) were smashed by Latvian TTT Riga (5-1) 99-46. The game without a history. TTT Riga led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was American forward Aishah Sutherland (187-90, college: Kansas, agency: Two Points) who scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. The other American import point guard Sydney Carter (170-90, college: Texas A&M) chipped in 18 points. Five TTT Riga players scored in double figures. TTT Riga's coach felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was Ukrainian power forward Ganna Zarytska (187-86) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and Ukrainian guard Olga Dubrovina (170-87) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Despite that victory TTT Riga went down to first position due to points difference, which they share with Basket Gdynia and Dynamo M. Loser Astana Tigers dropped to the fourth place with four games lost. They share the position with Istanbul Univ. and Kibirkstis. TTT Riga will meet at home Istanbul Uni (#4) in the next round. Astana Tigers will play against Good Angels in Kosice and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
