Regular Season Round 13: Loko Plzen - Sokol Pisek 53-85

There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Sokol Pisek (4-10) smashed on the road 7th ranked BK Loko Plzen (5-7) 85-53 on Friday. They outrebounded BK Loko Plzen 57-25 including a 45-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Center Dalibor Fait (203-93) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Center Vojtech Novak (205-97) chipped in 17 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks. Four Sokol Pisek players scored in double figures. Point guard Kamil Riha (180-91) produced 11 points and 5 rebounds and power forward Jaroslav Kovanda (203-82) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sokol Pisek moved-up to ninth place in Group A. Loser BK Loko Plzen keeps the seventh position with seven games lost. Sokol Pisek will face Vysocina (#10) in Jihlava in the next round.
