Regular Season Round 13: Arkadikos - Panionios 61-77

A2 top team - Panionios (12-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they beat ninth ranked Arkadikos (4-7) in Arkadia 77-61. Panionios made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 23 Arkadikos turnovers. Guard Sakis Karydas (182-79) nailed 22 points, 5 assists and 5 steals for the winning side and the former international forward Nikos Barlos (203-79) accounted for 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four Panionios players scored in double figures. Center Savvas Tsougarakis (207-86) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds and Lithuanian guard Dovydas Redikas (192-92) added 19 points and 6 assists (made all of his seven free throws) respectively for Arkadikos in the defeat. Panionios have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. Newly promoted Panionios maintains first place with 12-0 record. Arkadikos lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with seven games lost. They share it with Doxa Pefkon. Panionios will meet at home GS Larissas (#15) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Arkadikos will play against Ethnikos (#6) in Piraeus and hope to secure a win.
