Very expected game when 9th ranked Lausanne (4-8) was defeated at home by third ranked Geneve Lions (8-3) 91-76. The game without a history. Geneve Lions led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Geneve Lions outrebounded Lausanne 34-22 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Chris Braswell (206-89, college: Charlotte) who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Chad Timberlake (194-84, college: Fair Dickinson, agency: BeoBasket) contributed with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Karl Cochran (185-92, college: Wofford) answered with 19 points, 6 assists and 5 steals and guard Anton Wilson (196-94, college: Detroit Mercy) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Lausanne. Five Geneve Lions and four Lausanne players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Geneve Lions. They maintain third place with 8-3 record having just three points less than leader Monthey. Lausanne lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the ninth position with eight games lost. Geneve Lions' next round opponent will be Boncourt (#7) at home. Lausanne will play against the league's second-placed Fribourg and hope to win that game.
