Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Nowa Sol (2-15) was outscored by sixth ranked Gimbasket WRC (9-7) in Wroclaw 83-52 on Sunday. Gimbasket WRC made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game, while Nowa Sol only scored three points from the stripe. Gimbasket WRC forced 26 Nowa Sol turnovers. Nowa Sol was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Przemyslaw Gworek (195-90) orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 5 rebounds. Power forward Rafal Malitka (205-91) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Four Gimbasket WRC players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Gimbasket WRC maintains sixth place in Group D with 9-7 record. Nowa Sol lost their third game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with 15 games lost. Gimbasket WRC will face higher ranked Stal II Ostrow (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nowa Sol will play against the league's leader Slask (#1) and hope to win that game.
