Regular Season Round 13: Vysocina - GBA Sparta 74-79

There was no surprise in Jihlava where 10th ranked Vysocina (3-10) was defeated by eighth ranked GBA Sparta (5-7) 79-74 on Sunday. Polish Karol Majchrzak (195-97, agency: Octagon Europe) fired 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Michal Kozak (202-98) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Forward Jiri Bubak (194-84) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds and Martin Novak (199-93) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five GBA Sparta and four Vysocina players scored in double figures. GBA Sparta moved-up to seventh place in Group A, which they share with Loko Plzen. Vysocina lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with ten games lost. GBA Sparta will face league's leader Sokol Hradec Kralove at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vysocina will play against Sokol Pisek (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
