Regular Season Round 14: Chemidor - Arak 85-79

The most important game in the last round took place in Tehran between third ranked Arak (8-5) and sixth ranked Chemidor (7-6) on Thursday night. Arak was defeated by Chemidor in a tough game on the road 79-85. Arak was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. They outrebounded Arak 42-30 including a 34-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. 28 personal fouls committed by Arak helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American guard Daequan Cook (195-87, college: Ohio St.) scored 31 points and 5 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Lithuanian power forward Povilas Cukinas (210-83) chipped in 16 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. American-Georgian forward Quinton Hosley (201-84, college: Fresno St.) responded with 17 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Daniel Williams (195-87, college: Lewis-Clark St.) scored 17 points. Four Chemidor and five Arak players scored in double figures. Chemidor maintains sixth position with 7-6 record. Arak at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost.
