Regular Season Round 6: Hong Kong ELL - KL Dragons 87-70

The game with biggest result difference took place in Hong Kong. Local Hong Kong ELL (5-2) beat 5th ranked Malaysian KL Dragons (1-5) 87-70 on Friday night. The hosts trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 51-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Hong Kong ELL forced 20 KL Dragons turnovers. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was guard Marcus Elliott (191-84, college: Louisiana Tech) who had a double-double by scoring 31 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Guard Tyler Lamb (196-91, college: Long Beach St.) chipped in 20 points. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Marcus Melvin (206-82, college: N.Carolina St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and forward Skylar Spencer (208-94, college: San Diego St.) added 8 points and 14 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Hong Kong ELL maintains third position with 5-2 record having 172 points less than leader Kaohsiung, which they share with Alab Pilipinas. KL Dragons lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with five games lost. Hong Kong ELL will face Alab Pilipinas (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. KL Dragons will play against the league's leader Kaohsiung and hope to win that game.
