Regular Season Round 14: Olomouc SK - Opava B 57-56

The most exciting game of round 14 in the 1Liga took place in Olomouc. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers B&W Opava B (9-5) to second ranked Olomouc SK (11-3) 57-56 in the game for the second place. Olomouc SK forced 21 B&W Opava B turnovers. Forward Pavel Novak (199-83) saved the victory by scoring 14 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Martin Vanak (198-87) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Center Miroslav Kvapil (202-93) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds and power forward Jiri Dihel (198-87) added 19 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for B&W Opava B. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Olomouc SK have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted Olomouc SK maintains second position in Group B with 11-3 record having just two points less than leader Zlin. B&W Opava B at the other side keeps the third place with five games lost. Olomouc SK are looking forward to face Olomouc Bbal (#5) on the road in the next round. B&W Opava B will play against Ostrava and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
