Regular Season Round 15: Vive El Masnou - Andorra II 96-66

There was no surprise in Barcelona where 13th ranked Andorra II (3-9) was outplayed by eighth ranked Vive El Masnou (6-6) 96-66 on Saturday. The game without a history. Vive El Masnou led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Vive El Masnou forced 22 Andorra II turnovers. Strangely Andorra II outrebounded Vive El Masnou 40-28 including 27 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 60.9 percentage. Vive El Masnou looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for center Jordi Catalan (200-90) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Albert Valle Vives (-92) helped adding 16 points and 7 assists. Four Vive El Masnou players scored in double figures. Vive El Masnou's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Nil Bria (195-97) with 18 points and 7 rebounds and guard Victor Aguilar (185-98) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Vive El Masnou moved-up to seventh place in Group C-B. Loser Andorra II keeps the thirteenth position with nine games lost. Vive El Masnou will face Sitges (#12) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Andorra II will play against Muro Basquet and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
