Regular Season Round 16: Frintrop - Dorsten 69-81

Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Dorsten (10-6) beat on the road 12th ranked Frintrop (5-11) 81-69 on Saturday. It was a great shooting night for Dorsten especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.9 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of center Nino Janoschek (204-87) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds and Bulgarian Lyuben Paskov (196-90) who added 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Dorsten players scored in double figures. At the losing side American power forward Dijon Smith (203-89, college: Ft.Hays State) responded with 17 points and 9 rebounds and forward Carsten Bartels (198-89) scored 18 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Dorsten moved-up to fifth place in West. Frintrop lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the twelfth position with 11 games lost. Dorsten will face Bielefeld (#14) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Frintrop will play against Ibbenbueren and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
