Regular Season Round 15: Real Madrid II - Quintanar 81-50

The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked Real Madrid II's (10-5) home victory over 6th ranked Quintanar (8-5) 81-50 on Saturday. Real Madrid II dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Quintanar's 28. They outrebounded Quintanar 49-25 including a 33-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Uruguayan-Greek forward Maximiliano Sole (198-88, agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory scoring 8 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. FYR Macedonian-Montenegrin forward Dino Radoncic (202-99) helped adding 13 points and 7 rebounds. Four Real Madrid II players scored in double figures. Real Madrid II's coach Javier Juarez felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Cuban point guard Taylor Garcia (182-87) with 17 points and American forward Anthony Freeman (203-91, college: Union, TN) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Real Madrid II moved-up to third place in Group B, which they share with Casvi. Loser Quintanar dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. Real Madrid II will face Torrelodones (#14) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Quintanar will play against Tenerife Naut. (#5) in Santa Cruz and hope to win that game.
