Regular Season Round 16: Karlsruhe SC - Lich II 85-61

Date: January 14, 2017
Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Karlsruhe SC and 6th ranked Lich II had identical 9-5 record. This time Karlsruhe SC used a home court advantage and outleveled the opponent from Lich 85-61 on Saturday night. Worth to mention a great performance of Croatian center Denis Vrsaljko (209-82) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 15 rebounds and Bosnian power forward Elnis Prasovic (203-84) who added 14 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) during the contest. Five Karlsruhe SC players scored in double figures. Karlsruhe SC's coach Jaivon Harris felt very confident that he used 10 players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side forward Johannes Schlaefer (196-88) responded with 24 points and 5 rebounds and the former international Johannes Lischka (203-87) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Karlsruhe SC have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place in South-West, which they share with Speyer and Koblenz. Newly promoted Lich II keeps the sixth position with six games lost. Karlsruhe SC will face Speyer (#4) on the road in the next round. Lich II will play against Heidelberg USC and hope to win that game.
