Regular Season Round 10: DVUFK - Suzirja 52-55

Eighth-ranked DVUFK (1-13) used its home court advantage to challenge fourth ranked Suzirja (7-4) in Dnepropetrovsk on Saturday. The visitors from Rivne managed to secure only three-point victory 55-52. However their fans expected much easier game. DVUFK cut a 14-point halftime deficit to three at the end of the game. Suzirja dominated on the defensive end, holding DVUFK to just 4 points in first quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of Liudmila Spyrydonova who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Daryna Stepaniuk (176-96) contributed with 23 points and 4 steals for the winners. Swingman Oksana Fastova (173-99) replied with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds and forward Tamara Budonna (170-1) added 9 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for DVUFK. Suzirja have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 7-4 record. DVUFK lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with 13 games lost. Suzirja are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Tavriyska Zivka (#9) in Kherson in the next round where they are favorite. DVUFK will have a break next round.
