Regular Season Round 14: Sokol Slapanice - Olomouc Bbal 75-83

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fifth ranked Olomouc Bbal (8-6) won against one of their biggest challengers Sokol Slapanice (8-6) in Slapnice 83-75 on Sunday. Olomouc Bbal made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 26 Sokol Slapanice turnovers and outrebounded them 126-105 including a 80-68 advantage in defensive rebounds. Olomouc Bbal shot the lights out from three sinking 25 long-distance shots on high 56.8 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Sokol Slapanice was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Jiri Dedek (190-95) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 13 rebounds. Center Jan Kozak (201-89) contributed with 10 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Forward Zdenek Sebela (192-87) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds and forward Martin Vyroubal (199-96) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Sokol Slapanice. Five Olomouc Bbal and four Sokol Slapanice players scored in double figures. Olomouc Bbal moved-up to fourth place in Group B, which they share with defeated Sokol Slapanice. Olomouc Bbal will face league's second-placed Olomouc SK in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Sokol Slapanice will play against Pardubice and hope to win that game.
