Regular Season Round 28: Shanxi BD - Shanghai S. 92-97

Leader Shanghai Sharks delivered the twenty fourth victory. This time they beat 11th ranked Shanxi Zhongyu (13-15) 97-92 in Taiyuan. Worth to mention a great performance of French Guerschon Yabusele (201-95) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!), 16 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international guard XiaoYu Liu (191-89) contributed with 9 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. American Jamaal Franklin (196-91, college: San Diego St.) replied with 31 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks and his fellow American import center Henry Sims (208-90, college: Georgetown) added 23 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Shanxi Zhongyu. Shanxi Zhongyu's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Shanghai Sharks have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 24-4 record. Shanxi Zhongyu at the other side dropped to the twelfth place with 15 games lost. They share the position with TianJin S.. Shanghai Sharks will play against Fujian (#16) in Jinjiang in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Shanxi Zhongyu will play at home against Zhejiang Guangsha Lions (#5) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
