The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Stade as it allowed them to take a leadership position in North. Stade defeated 10th ranked ALBA Berlin II at home 59-50. Worth to mention a great performance of Spanish power forward Oscar Andres (200-87) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and American guard Mason Biddle (185-93, college: Western St.) who added 13 points and 4 steals during the contest. At the losing side Badu Buck (194-99) responded with 12 points and center Hendrik Drescher (204-0) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Stade (9-1) have an impressive five-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. ALBA Berlin II lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with eight games lost. ALBA Berlin II will play next round against strong Sixers trying to get back on the winning streak. Stade will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Vechta-2 on the road.
