Cegldi EKK held off TTT Riga at home court in the opener. The hosts trailed by 12 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 73-66. Cegledi EKK dominated on the defensive end, holding TTT Riga to just 7 points in second quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to TTT Riga's 34. They outrebounded TTT Riga 43-29 including a 34-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Serbian center Jelena Maksimovic (192-82) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Nora Nagy-Bujdoso (155-92) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. Four Cegledi EKK players scored in double figures. American point guard Sydney Carter (170-90, college: Texas A&M) produced 18 points and the other American import forward Aishah Sutherland (187-90, college: Kansas, agency: Two Points) added 7 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals respectively for lost side. TTT Riga's coach gave the chance to play for eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game.
