Regular Season Round 16: Banska Bystrica - MBK Ruzomb. 62-60

The most exciting game of round 16 in the Extraliga took place in Banska Bystrica. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 3rd ranked MBK Ruzomberok (10-4) to sixth ranked Banska Bystrica (5-10) 62-60 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of MBK Ruzomberok. Lucia Kelcikova (176-96) replied with 18 points and 9 rebounds and the former international guard Timea Sujova (173-84) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for MBK Ruzomberok. MBK Ruzomberok's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Banska Bystrica maintains sixth position with 5-10 record. MBK Ruzomberok at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost. Banska Bystrica are looking forward to face UKF Nitra (#7) on the road in the next round. MBK Ruzomberok will play against Slovan (#8) and is hoping to win this game.
