Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Olomouc: Olomouc SK (#2) and Olomouc Bbal (#5). Olomouc Bbal was defeated at home 71-82 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Olomouc Bbal. Olomouc Bbal was plagued by 33 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for forward Pavel Novak (199-83) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Jiri Dedek (190-95) came up with 22 points and 6 rebounds and Moldovan forward Evgeni Scripcaru (195-83) added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Olomouc Bbal in the defeat. Olomouc SK (12-3) have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Newly promoted Olomouc SK maintains second place in Group B having just two points less than leader Zlin. Olomouc Bbal at the other side dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. They share it with Sokol Slapanice. Olomouc SK will play against Pardubice (#6) at home in the next round. Olomouc Bbal will play against Ostrava and hopes to get back on the winning track.
