Regular Season Round 15: Basket Kosice - USK Praha B 101-90

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when seventh ranked Basket Kosice (7-9) defeated at home 6th ranked USK Praha B (6-8) 101-90 on Friday. Basket Kosice looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by USK Praha B's players. It was a great evening for Slovakian forward Miroslav Vansa (197-87) who led his team to a victory scoring 32 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). Forward Jan Kratochvil (199-82) helped adding 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Basket Kosice players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was swingman Jan Streba (195-95) with 21 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Ondrej Sehnal (183-97) scored 19 points and 4 assists. USK Praha B's coach let to play eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Basket Kosice moved-up to fifth place in Group A. USK Praha B lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with eight games lost. Basket Kosice will face higher ranked Nymburk B (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. USK Praha B will play against BK Loko Plzen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
