Second Stage Round 4: Mazeikiai - Petrochema 85-65

The game with biggest result difference took place in Mazeikiai. Local Mazeikiai (11-18) outscored 14th ranked Petrochema (6-23) 85-65. The game without a history. Mazeikiai led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 55.6 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Rytis Biliartas (200-91) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Mantas Serksnas (202-96) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Four Mazeikiai players scored in double figures. Mazeikiai's coach Aloyzas Rudys allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Tomas Milinskas (203-90) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and guard Ricardas Verbickas (191-95) added 9 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Petrochema. Mazeikiai moved-up to tenth place. Petrochema lost third consecutive game. They stay dead last with 23 lost games. Mazeikiai will play against higher ranked Zalgiris II (#8) in Kaunas in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Petrochema will play at home against Ezerunas-Karys (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
