There was an upset in Diedorf where higher ranked TSV Troester (11-5) was defeated by twelfth ranked Topstar (5-11) 82-78 on Saturday. Topstar forced 22 TSV Troester turnovers. Guard Raphael Braun (185-94) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and forward Maximilian Uhlich (194-94) chipped in 12 points and 11 rebounds. Four Topstar players scored in double figures. Center Erik Land (205-90) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds and center Alexander Heide (206-91) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. Topstar moved-up to eleventh place in South-East, which they share with Zwickau. Loser TSV Troester dropped to the fourth position with five games lost. Topstar will face higher ranked Rosenheim (#10) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. TSV Troester will play against Herzogenaurach (#13) and hope to win that game.
