Regular Season Round 17: Iseo - Padova 65-61

There was a surprise result when sixteenth ranked Iseo (4-13) beat at home higher ranked Padova (9-8) 65-61 on Saturday. Point guard Andrea Leone (186-94) stepped up and scored 13 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners and Gianluigi Prestini (200-89) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. Four Iseo players scored in double figures. Power forward Claudio Nobile (206-82) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized Dominican guard Jean Carlos Canelo (188-89) scored 17 points. Iseo moved-up to fifteenth place in B. Loser Padova dropped to the seventh position with eight games lost. Iseo will face higher ranked Crema (#7) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
