Very predictable result when fourth ranked CSU Sibiu (10-6) smashed at home 10th ranked CS Dinamo Bucuresti (3-13) 87-61. The game without a history. CSU Sibiu led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to CS Dinamo Bucuresti's 32. They outrebounded CS Dinamo Bucuresti 45-28 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. American power forward Chris Cooper (205-90, college: ODU) nailed a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds for the winning side and swingman Radu Paliciuc (200-88) accounted for 15 points and 10 rebounds. Five CSU Sibiu players scored in double figures. Coach Dan Fleseriu's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Serbian guard Slobodan Dundjerski (188-88) came up with 17 points and 5 rebounds and Montenegrin forward Rajko Kljajevic (204-85, agency: BeoExcell) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for CS Dinamo Bucuresti in the defeat. CSU Sibiu moved-up to third place, which they share with Oradea and Pitesti. CS Dinamo Bucuresti at the other side keeps the tenth position with 13 games lost. CSU Sibiu will play against Pitesti (#4) on the road in the next round. CS Dinamo Bucuresti will play against Craiova (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
