Guard Niklas Wuerzner (196-94) helped adding 19 points and 4 assists. Four MLP Academics Heidelberg players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Simon Schmitz (188-90) responded with 10 points and 5 rebounds and American swingman Brandon Spearman (196-91, college: Hawaii) scored 13 points. Gladiators' coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. MLP Academics Heidelberg maintains fifth place with 12-7 record. Loser Gladiators dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. They share it with Oettinger R.. MLP Academics Heidelberg will meet at home league's leader Mitteldeutscher BC in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Gladiators will play against the league's second-placed Crailsheim Merlins (#2) and hope to secure a win.
