Regular Season Round 21: MMCITE Brno - CEZ Nymburk 75-82

Leader CEZ Nymburk delivered the twentieth victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 11th ranked MMCITE Brno (5-16) 82-75. CEZ Nymburk forced 21 MMCITE Brno turnovers. The best player for the winners was Cuban forward Howard Sant-Roos (200-91) who had a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds. American point guard Eugene Lawrence (184-86, college: St.John's) chipped in 6 points and 9 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Stan Simpson (208-90, college: Memphis) who recorded a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import guard Kevin Ware (188-93, college: Georgia St., agency: Mansfield and Associates) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively. Five MMCITE Brno players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for CEZ Nymburk. Defending champion maintains first place with 20-1 record. MMCITE Brno lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the bottom position with 16 games lost. CEZ Nymburk will face Prostejov (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. MMCITE Brno will play against BK Lions Hradec (#9) and hope to win that game.
