Regular Season Round 21: NH Ostrava - J.Hradec 102-82

There was a minor upset when 9th ranked BK Lions Hradec (7-14) was crushed on the road by eleventh ranked NH Ostrava (6-15) 102-82 on Saturday. NH Ostrava shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Petr Bohacik (205-85) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Sterling Smith (193-93, college: Pittsburgh) chipped in 23 points and 6 assists. Five NH Ostrava players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Malcolm Brooks (196-92, college: CS Fullerton) who recorded 25 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import point guard Terrell Lipkins (180-91, college: Montevallo) added 19 points respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. NH Ostrava moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Svitavy. Loser BK Lions Hradec keeps the ninth position with 14 games lost. NH Ostrava will face higher ranked USK Praha (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
