An exciting game was played in Astana. Top-ranked Astana Tigers faced their biggest opponent Irtysh. Host Astana Tigers (8-0) smashed guests from Pavlodar (3-5) 69-39. The game without a history. Astana Tigers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Irtysh to just 7 points in second and third quarters. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Astana Tigers have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-0 record. Irtysh at the other side keeps the second place with five games lost. Astana Tigers are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Okzhetpes (#3) in Kokshetay in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Irtysh will play on the road against Okzhetpes in Kokshetay and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
