Rather predictable result in Kouvola where second ranked PuHu Juniorit (13-4) smashed 5th ranked Korikouvot (11-6) 88-60 on Sunday. The game without a history. PuHu Juniorit led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Korikouvot's 26. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Sakari Laakso (194-97) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 5 rebounds and guard Eero Lehtinen (194-85) who added 14 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Five PuHu Juniorit players scored in double figures. At the losing side swingman Teemu Knihtinen (195-98) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and guard Henri Kantonen (197-97) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. PuHu Juniorit maintains second position in Division with 13-4 record behind leader TuNMKY. Loser Korikouvot keeps the fifth place with six games lost. PuHu Juniorit will face PeU-Basket (#10) in Pernio in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
