Regular Season Round 18: Matera - Senigallia 95-84

Date: January 29, 2017
No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Matera (10-6) defeated at home 9th ranked Senigallia (7-9) 95-84 on Sunday. Matera made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. Matera outrebounded Senigallia 41-25 including a 23-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was point guard Gionata Zampolli (189-85) who scored 31 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Nicolo Ravazzani (200-85) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 17 rebounds. Four Matera players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Andrea Maggiotto (194-88) who recorded 23 points and naturalized Senegalese power forward Yande Fall (200-90) added 12 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Senigallia's coach Alessandro Valli rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Matera maintains seventh position in B with 10-6 record. Loser Senigallia keeps the ninth place with nine games lost. Matera will face higher ranked Campli (#6) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Senigallia will play against Pescara and hope to win that game.
