Tambov (17-6) crushed eighth ranked Runa Basket (3-21) 80-49. Tambov held Runa Basket to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 39.1 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Runa Basket 56-36 including a 38-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. Center Andrey Voron (208-87) notched a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Nikita Gresev (204-88) supported him with 9 points and 11 rebounds. Even 22 points and 9 rebounds by forward Andrey Semenov (201-90, college: JMU) did not help to save the game for Runa Basket. Point guard Kirill Sokolov (192-93) added 9 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tambov have a solid three-game winning streak.
