Regular Season Round 16: Vasas - Falco KC 80-84

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Falco KC (10-6) beat bottom-ranked Vasas (3-13) in Budapest 84-80 on Thursday. Vasas were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by point guard Darrin Govens (185-88, college: St.Joseph's) who scored that evening 24 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Lester Medford (178-93, college: Baylor, agency: Three Eye Sports) supported him with 16 points. Even 20 points and 7 rebounds by forward A.J. Pacher (208-92, college: Wright St.) did not help to save the game for Vasas. Point guard Ronnie Taylor (187-81, college: NC-Greensboro, agency: Octagon Europe) added 18 points and 6 assists for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Vasas' coach Bulcsu Sarosi rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Falco KC moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams. Vasas lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the bottom position with 13 games lost. They share it with MAFC. Falco KC will meet at home Szolnok (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Vasas' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Budapest to the arena MAFC.
