No shocking result in a game in Antwerp where seventh ranked Giants B (9-10) defeated 10th ranked Ieper (7-12) 75-65 on Friday. Giants B dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Ieper's 24. The best player for the winners was center Bert Van Den Broek (201-92) who scored 9 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Philippe Peeters (188-95) chipped in 15 points. Swingman Robin Mestdagh (195-88, college: E.Kentucky) produced 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Senegalese-Spanish power forward Mamadou Diop (204-93) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Giants B maintains seventh position with 9-10 record, which they share with Royal Brussels. Ieper lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 12 games lost. Giants B will face RPC Anderlecht (#12) on the road in the next round where they are favorite.
