Regular Season Round 19: Langen - Fellbach 83-69

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both seventh ranked TV Langen and 8th ranked Fellbach had identical 8-9 record. This time TV Langen used a home court advantage and defeated the opponent from Fellbach 83-69 on Saturday night. TV Langen dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Fellbach's 24. TV Langen forced 19 Fellbach turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when TV Langen made 8 blocks. It was a very good performance for American forward Preston Ross (198, college: Winston Salem) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 5 assists. Point guard Maxim Schneider (184-92) contributed with 14 points and 7 assists for the winners. Four TV Langen players scored in double figures. Naturalized Polish point guard David Michalczyk (180-89) answered with 17 points, 7 assists and 4 steals and Bosnian-Croatian center Miroslav Ljoljic (208-92) added 12 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Fellbach. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. TV Langen maintains seventh place in South-West with 9-9 record. Fellbach lost their fourth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth position with ten games lost. TV Langen will face Kaiserslautern (#12) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Fellbach will play against Lich II (#4) and hope to win that game.
