Regular Season Round 12: Tokyo Big Blue - Tokyo Cinq R. 51-91

Rather expected game when 9th ranked Tokyo Big Blue (2-20) was smashed at home by sixth ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (10-12) 91-51 on Sunday. The game without a history. Tokyo Cinq R. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo Big Blue's 38. Tokyo Cinq R. forced 19 Tokyo Big Blue turnovers and outrebounded them 44-28 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for American power forward Eric Anderson (204-93, college: New Haven, agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. The other American import forward R.J. Slawson (206-92, college: Jacksonville) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Tokyo Cinq R. players scored in double figures. Point guard Yoshikawa Osamuakira (182-92) replied with 13 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and point guard Ryota Ito (178-92) added 13 points in the effort for Tokyo Big Blue. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Tokyo Cinq R. moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Aisin AW. Loser Tokyo Big Blue stay dead last with 20 lost games. Tokyo Cinq R. will face Saitama Broncos (#7) at home in the next round.
