Regular Season Round 19: Cefalu - Roma Vis Nova 81-67

There was no surprise when 13th ranked Roma Vis Nova (4-13) lost on the road to ninth ranked Cefalu (9-9) 81-67 on Sunday. Cefalu outrebounded Roma Vis Nova 40-26 including a 32-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for power forward Riccardo Malagoli (209-88) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Forward Marco Mollura (196-93) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Cefalu players scored in double figures. Guard Giulio Casale (187-91) answered with 25 points and point guard Tommaso Rossetti (185-88) added 11 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Roma Vis Nova. Roma Vis Nova's coach Luciano Bongiorno rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Newly promoted Cefalu maintains ninth place in B with 9-9 record. Roma Vis Nova at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the thirteenth position with 13 games lost. Cefalu will face higher ranked Roma Luiss (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Roma Vis Nova's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Roma Roma S.Azzurra.
